Pharmacological approach to antimicrobial resistance

The concept of antibiotic resistance and One Health are commonly used daily. Prof. Re's team collaborates with other research groups within the Department of Veterinary Sciences in the following projects:
  • Project funded by the CRT Foundation on the anatomopathological, epidemiological and pharmacological study of antibiotic resistance in pigs in the Piedmont area), title: “Antibiotic - resistance in pig farms: in vivo and post-mortem surveillance in farms categorized with the ClassyFarm system” - Manager Prof. Capucchio Maria Teresa
  • TECH4MILK project financed with POR FESR 2014/2020 funds – the Prof. Re research group is involved in investigations to identify antibiotic residues in milk and will take care of the fortification of milk samples and performes analysis with comparative analytical methods.
  • Project funded by the CRT Foundation on the identification of residues of antibiotic molecules in 4 classes of antibiotics in raw milk samples.
  • Project in collaboration with Prof.ssa Nebbia, Dott.ssa Robino and Agrilab for the research of pathogens responsible for maestite in dairy cows and their resistance factors.
  • Cross-resistance between children and pets: joint study group between the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital of Turin and the research group of Prof. Re.
