Interdepartmental Library of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences
The Interdepartmental Library of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences is a documentation centre open to the entire scientific community of professors, researchers and students currently working in the Campus of Grugliasco.
The building covers 960 square metres. Offices, reading room and newspaper section are located on the ground floor. The reading room can host more than 100 readers, and the books are placed in open shelf classified by subject according to a classification scheme borrowed from the Utrecht University Library. There is also a book repository located in the basement.
The library has 80,000 books. Thesis and dissertations are accessible in paper or electronic form.
Services include consultation of bibliographic materials (books and journals in self-using), support in bibliographic researches and in bibliography management, photocopies and prints, interlibrary loan, and document delivery.
In addition, the library is a loan point for the EDISU (Regional Agency for the Right to Education of Piedmont)
In the reading room there are 16 computers connected to Internet, available to carry out bibliographic research, consult electronic catalogues and access a wide assortment of electronic resources.
The Library guarantees accessibility and usability of services to people with disabilities. The Library is equipped with a visually impaired route made of different materials to make it easier for users to move around.
The Library, the only one in the University of Turin, is in compliance with the standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 concerning “planning and provision of library services” (Original certification date: 02/12/2015, current certification date: 24/07/2019).
