Drug Monitoring
This research line includes topics related to:
- epidemiological studies to monitor the spread and etiology of infectious diseases of animals bred under different welfare and biosafety conditions,
- the development of a monitoring systems for the implementation of good practices to limit post-surgical infections,
- the identification of drug residues in different matrices (sewage, manure, digestates) collected in livestock farms and biogas production plants,
- the microbial ecology of environments for food production and transformation to highlight the spread of antibiotic resistance, as well as other form of resistances (to temperature, salt, disinfectants),
- strengthening of the local pharmacovigilance center (Centro Regionale di Farmacovigilanza).
